EBONY CRIES
Mother Africa
EBONY CRIES
The sight of an old bone better than the fresh meddle
Didn’t ask for but a heritage of virtue
All about existence, birth room of humanity
Civilization and pavilion of creativity, the power house
Beauty mansion and gallery of diversity, junction of the
world
Mother Ebony, linage of greatness, mother of the world
Ebony cries, a heart confession of pain and suffering
Day and night her seeds did spring, and so was her joy
Caring in labour established them and forever equal
What pride , swollen crest the unique of every gray hair
But just a click and it’s a labour in vain Ebony cries
Joy she sowed but pain we reap, bitter her grave will sleep
Cuddled but murderers and thieves, pampered but drunkers
Yes she cries, fruits not her gene but harvest
Wore her strength, sweat the soil not a beggar and fed
Thought the best, did her life for no other can better
Heaven help, motherly love cant be compromised give me just
one
Help my fruits for it should be a reward to the my labour
In tears for my seedlings but with hope of a filth to
despair
The strive and rage, the evil but one womb and same blood
Ebony cries wipe off her tears for its day and the night lay
wait
Change a need, see love, want peace, feel the happiness
You are brothers, live like brothers for I am your mother
For as one, share as one, then you are one, make the world
one
